Choose the correctly written version(s) of this sentence.

(A)Author Frederick Jackson Turner referred to the unsettled land in the American West as the "frontier," the term changed from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity. ----------> i find this to be correct

(B)Though author Frederick Jackson Turner referred to the unsettled land in the American West as the "frontier," but the term changed from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity. -----------> though and but can't be used in the same sentence as "though" itself symbolises transition.

(C)Author Frederick Jackson Turner referred to the unsettled land in the American West as the "frontier," and the terms' changing from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity.

(A)Author Frederick Jackson Turner referred to the unsettled land in the American West as the "frontier," the term changed from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity
this is incorrect too because it is run on sentence.

"the term changed from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity" is an independent clause.

it can be fixed this way :

the term THAT is/was changed from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity

somehow i feel the definite article 'the' before term is not correct for this sentence.

(A)Author Frederick Jackson Turner referred to the unsettled land in the American West as the "frontier," the term changed from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity.
1st sentence is a run on. Hence incorrect.
(B)Though author Frederick Jackson Turner referred to the unsettled land in the American West as the "frontier," but the term changed from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity.
this sentence uses coordinating conjunction to connect two clauses but incorrectly uses "though" with "but".
(C)Author Frederick Jackson Turner referred to the unsettled land in the American West as the "frontier," and the terms' changing from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity.
awkwardly worded. "term's changing" is changing the meaning and breaking parallelism too.

Hence all the sentences are incorrect according to me.

I don't think 1 is a run on sentence,
the term = refers to frontier
changed = this is not verb, but past participle.

I think the real problem is in ||ism.
FROM X TO Y = X and Y must be parallel.
from its original French meaning of "borderland" to refer to a sense of openness and opportunity

X and Y are not parallel.
