Pre-mba or math courses for weak GMAT quant score?

Hey -

I took the GMAT once and scored poorly on quant. I was told a course in mathematics as a refresher would help bolster my application package. My undergrad GPA (3.3) isn't too weak but could have and should have been stronger. I live in NYC and was wondering what appeals more to adcoms - specific courses in mathematics or a pre-MBA program like one Fordham offers? (https://www.bnet.fordham.edu/files/pre-mba.pdf)

Any thoughts?

I too live in NYC and I took Statistics class at NYU SCPS. I would also suggest re-taking the GMAT if you only took it once.

what other types of courses are recommended? Just stats and calc.? Is there anything else???

@money9111 What did you think of the NYU SCPS Statistics class? I'm wrapping up my MGMAT course next month and plan to enroll in a statistics class in May. Curious to find out what the work load is like and what you thought of the quality of the class.

I am also thinking to take math courses. Should I take Business Statistics or general Statistics from the Math department?

Other than stats and calc, I've seen micro economics and accounting recommended.

Experts, do you think there's any point in retaking the GMAT if you scored very well overall but were weaker in quant?

My stats: 740 overall, 99th percentile verbal, 68th percentile quant. Given that I probably started in the 10th percentile in quant, I don't feel too bad about that 68th percentile score. But, well, every school turned me down, even though my total score was well above their average in each case. I just feel like it might be a waste of time to take the GMAT again and risk a lower score for another few points percentile-wise. I'm open to your thoughts.
