Hello, and thank you for your time in evaluating my profile. I am a year removed from college and am looking into an MBA probably in 2-3 more years. I am looking to go into a top MBA program specializing in International business.
I had an undergrad GPA of 3.8, magna cum laude, from a good liberal arts college. I had a double major in International Relations and Asian Studies and have significant international experience, and language knowledge. I have a family members who attended a few schools which I would look to apply to.
I am now working for a smaller, rapidly growing, International company. Although I am still in my 1st year with the company, I have had the opportunity to do a range of work that someone at a larger company would not have the possibility of doing. I do believe that I will be promoted and continue to build my responsibilities.
I am looking for an honest assessment: Will working at a small relatively unknown company put me at a disadvantage over my peers working at Fortune 500 companies? Any other thoughts on my background that might be able to help?
Thanks!
