Greetings Stacy,

Do admissions committee value articles - marketing related articles written as thought leader? I come from a strategic consulting experience and have published one article at present in Consulting Mag and there are others in pipeline.

It will be great to understand your POV.

Regards,

T

Dear T,

Being published in magazines or other publications demonstrates a strong knowledge of your field, respect of your peers, and a unique aspect of your background--all advantages in the MBA admissions process. While I would not go so far as to say it will be a significant factor that automatically pushes you to the admit pile or is used to justify selecting you over similar applicants, it is a point of differentiation that you should certainly use to your advantage when thinking about how you want to present your background to the admissions committee.

Good luck...and congrats on the article!
