My doubt is how we decide between "flat" and "flatly"...What are they in this sentence?? I mean adverb or what..i personally feel that
packed is verb so flatly is an adverb...but not sure...OA after some discussion

@atulmangal : i am with you but the thing is flatly does not exist. 'flat' is adjective and adverb and ,as u said, is playing role of adverb. However, you can answer this without the knowledge of flat and flaty .

I agree, finding the correct answer was not tough because when we look at the second part after comma opB, which is the OA is clear, just curious to know abut flatly, this word seems awkward but thought like most of the adverbs end with -ly may be this one is also true.....thanks for your information about this word..

"Flatly" does exist, and could be used if the sentence said, "pack flatly", but the word "packed" was used.
