RC and CR techniques

I'm taking MGMAT's course and they suggest taking notes for CR and RC. Problem is I think doing this takes too long.

Has anybody used this technique and how effective is it? Maye I just need to get more practice and take notes faster...

Definitely take these tips with a grain of salt--the right strategy depends on the individual, and you may find that very different approaches to answering CR and RC questions work best for you. It's up to you to experiment and practice to see which ones work.

That being said, I took the approach to taking notes and spending my time reading through the passages carefully. It was a slow process, but I was able to make up time by answering the questions quickly. This worked for me but may not work for you.

How did the process go for you? Did you start off slow and speed up with practice?
I don't have a problem with the technique, I think it's pretty good. I just have a problem with the timing aspect, as in it's taking me way too long...MGMAT suggests 2-3 min for notes, I take 4-5 mins.

I definitely got more efficient with practice. Toward the end I got a comfortable pace with reading, taking notes and answering the questions. Just takes a lot of practice!

wowww I think this technique is a very high level for a test taker who can score 700 up because he is slow for the analysis of questions, tear them apart and hit the right answer!

Admitedly, I can't do that really. I wish I could but making a note or diagraming the argument is very time consuming for me. I couldn't even make the verbal part on time!
