Please show your calculations so that it can be corrected rather than an answer being provided from scratch

In any case,
[spoiler]1.5 sd * 0.3 ounces = 0.45 ounces

8.1 + 0.45 ounces: [7.65, 8.55]

Rewriting the items in the list in ascending order: 7.51, 7.73, 7.83, 7.86, 7.96, 8.01, 8.09, 8.22, 8.25, 8.30, 8.36, 8.53

All except 7.51 lie in this range

Hi BarryLi,

thanks for the answer.

I don't understand the question. What I did was calculate 8.1 +- 0.3 and see whats within this range.

Why do you multiplicate the sd of 0,3 ounce with the sd 1,5?
sd*sd doesn't make sense for me. I'd take the sd from the mean (in this case 8.1)
