College Student Preparing for the GMAT

by daraveung » Wed Feb 16, 2011 5:51 pm
Hello all,

I'm a college junior and I'm planning on taking the GMAT in early April. I find out, however, that I barely have time to prepare for the test because school assignments and homework take most of my time. The only time I can study for the GMAT is on Saturday. Does anybody had the same experience before? How did you manage your time? I took the official practice test and I got 710. However, I'm still not very good at quant and always end up not finishing the whole quant section when I did practice tests.

Thank you for your advice!

well, 710 is a good score in the first test i guess. but never get yourself up too much. I am also appearing for GMAT in the month of April, to be exact on 21st april but I have completed my graduation and have enough time to prepare. in your case, try joining any coaching classes in your area or else if you have good internet connection you can choose from wide range of online courses available, Knewton, Kaplan... Practice from OG12 which is the best as far as I have seen. allocate atleast one hour per day for GMAT preparation, so that you wont forget the concepts and you dont have to search for solutions when you solve questions after a break of one week.
If I am wrong correct me :), If my post helped let me know by clicking the Thanks button ;).
