Profile Evaluation

by Rahul C » Mon Jan 17, 2011 10:28 pm
Dear Clear Admit,

I am Rahul and am currently working in the Corporate Finance Valuation team of a reputed consulting company in its center in India. I have been in this role for the past 4 years and have 10 months of prior experience of working in another research firm.

I have a MBA-Finance degree from an average college in India but now want to expose myself to a global MBA program. I have decent academics-a topper at university level and also have my own small venture-a website to provide financial data for Indian companies. In addition, I have been working for the welfare of stray dogs but on a voluntary basis.

I have a GMAT score of 710 and AWA of 5.5.

Do you think I qualify or am the right candidate for the top 10 b-schools globally?

Thanks for your help.

Regards
Rahul

Hi Rahul,

Thanks for your post. It sounds like you have some impressive work experience to date. Your growth and tenure are certainly on par with top MBA programs. However, my concern is that you already have an MBA degree. This may preclude you from qualifying for top programs as many won't offer admission to those who already hold an MBA. I strongly encourage you to reach out to the admissions office at the programs you are considering to find out if your MBA Finance degree disqualifies you for consideration at their programs.

Best of luck,

Stacey
