Hi,
Great to see your post - I am from a nonprofit background, applied to business school in 2009/2010 and got accepted to Tuck, Columbia, and Wharton. I am enrolling at Wharton in the fall, (deferred my enrollment for one year), and currently run a admissions consulting service specifically for nonprofit candidates.
In my case, I used a lot of the free blog content from services like mbaMission, and books like MBA Game Plan - though these are for everyone. Through the experience, I have my own thoughts on applying specifically from a nonprofit background that I'd be happy to share. I have some of this info on my blog, though I'd be happy to talk more over the phone.
Send me an e-mail if you'd like to talk further!
Julie

Hi Memery999,
Julie made some great suggestions. I too applied to business school with a non-profit background. I specialize in working with non-traditional students like yourself. You should check out my free webinar "B-School Despite the Odds: How I Beat the MBA Numbers Game with a Great Story". You can get access to it by submitting your name and email address in the sidebar of the homepage on my website.
