Please help!!!

by Nidhs » Tue Jan 29, 2008 2:16 pm
I am planning to give the gmat on feb 21st of Feb. I have about 20 days in hand and I need to draw a plan that suits best. I was thinking of trying to solve about 100 questions a day for about 20 days. I started with 20 problems in each sections today. However, I am extremely uncomfortable with RC. I started with the 1st passage in OG 10th edition and was completely stumped. It had something to do with how caffeine works in the brain. I am somehow having a hard time in RC. My weekness is Science RC. I cannot remember the complex names and their functions and if I sit to write points, I find myself running out of time. I was wondering with the time constraint I have, is it better for me to work on RC or just concentrate on other areas? Can RC skills be improved or am I just better making my other areas stronger?

Thanks
Nidhs

Check out this post on studying for the test in under one month: https://www.beatthegmat.com/how-to-study ... h-t98.html

Don't overemphasize your RC studies if it means neglecting other critical subject areas of the test. You need to make sure you have a solid foundation in the other areas!

For RC help, I'd check out the resources here: https://del.icio.us/beatthegmat

Good luck!

Thanks. I think that GMAT has been taken over by pearson and was wondering if it is still true that Is it still true that gmat repeats the same question patterns. There are a large pool of questions available like 1000SC etc...and i am wondering if i should try to use as many resources as poss or just stick to OG. Your help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

I've heard reports that the many questions on the Pearson's test resemble the pattern of questions found on OG.

OG should definitely be the focus of your studies, but use the practice material from Manhattan GMAT, Kaplan, Princeton Review to supplement!
