If Q is a quadrilateral, is Q a rectangle?
1) Opposite sides of Q are parallel.
2) One of the four angles of Q is 90 degrees.

The ans according to the book is C...but doesn't a square also satisfy the above points?

Yes. However, a square is just a special kind of rectangle with 4 equal sides.

So, if something is a square, it's also a rectangle (but not vice-versa).

On a side note, if something is a square it's also a parallelogram and a rhombus.

This is because a square satisfies all the properties of a rectangle and rhombus...right?
