Round 3?

Exactly how low are the chances of being admitted in Round 3?

I had originally planned on applying in Round 2, but my GMAT score was disappointing, so I am taking it again in early March and planning on submitting my applications in the last round. My philosophy is that I would rather have a good chance at getting one of a few spots than no chance at several spots.

Should I even bother, or is it better to wait until next year?

The chances of admission in the first two rounds are a bit more realistic because the class is still being formed - by third round there are only a few spots left. It depends how both of the previous rounds go in terms of yield and candidate pool, so it's hard to say exactly how difficult it is.

Of course there is always a chance, you just want to manage your expectations and not take rejection personally if it happens. It's up to you if you want to spend the time and money applying now, or wait until next year.

is r3 is tuff only coz thr are few places left??is it possible that school s r looking for odd wrk ex profile students whih is different from r1 or r2???

and is it like this that those who are rejeced would be having slight disadvantage next year??

There is no difference in what the admissions committee is seeking in candidates during Round 3. There is no round in which specific work experience is the goal, the process continues to be holistic.

The main difference of Round 3 that it's late in the process and there have been many stellar candidates admitted already, not to mention waitlisted.
