Transcripts format

Hi ,


I am applying in R2 to one of the universities & the date is 1 st January .They require official transcripts to be sent to them through mail .Can someone plssss send me the academic transcripts format . I have just no idea what a transcript content is all about ..If some one can provide a transcript format .....I have attended only one college.

Hi Sachin,

Transcripts contain the details of all the subjects(and marks obtained) which you have studied as a part of your degree.

Which university have you obtained your degree from? I think you should contact your college office for more information on how to obtain your official transcripts. AFAIK I don't think you can create your transcripts based on a certain format.

Actually I have done my engineering from APJ College of engg ( it comes under maharshi dayananad university , Haryana ) . I have already been to my college & they said that they don't have any format .They instead said that "you bring the content / format , we will check the content with your marksheets & will then attest " .
So I need to know what exactly is to be put in a transcript ?
Moreover today I was able to get a transcript of one of my friend .I have sent a pm .can you pls check whether the format & content is fine ?

I saw the attachment and it seems fine to me, pretty much like the transcripts I obtained from my university. I suggest you get the transcripts on the college letterhead, attested and stamped by the director or registrar etc. and then get it sealed by the college authorities.

And another thing, some universities might not accept transcripts not issued directly by your university. To be on the safer side I would suggest you contact the university you're applying to, explain this issue and confirm whether transcripts attested by your college will do.

I am bothering you again .
But will it be fine if I send only the subject name & total marks obtained for all the semesters ...??? Is it necessary to provide columns for " Hrs/Week " and " Credits" as mentioned in the sample transcript I had sent you .??
and not even the " grading policy " of the university or the college ???

Yes, you will have to put the grading policy of the university. In my transcripts, the number of hours/week for every subject is also mentioned.

I hope you have contacted the universities you're applying to and confirmed whether transcripts attested by your college authorities will be acceptable. Please don't take a risk and assume that it will be accepted. It's always safer to take some time off and confirm! In case it is not acceptable to the universities, you might have to contact your university and figure out how to get it.
