As students at the Chicago Booth School of Business leave campus for winter break, many will return home to cities around the globe. Some of these students have agreed to take time out of their breaks to host events for prospective applicants who want to learn more about the school.

"These casual get-togethers are an opportunity for you to connect with Booth students in your city to learn what the Chicago experience is like," wrote Senior Associate Director of Admissions Joanna Zisis in a recent post to the Chicago Booth Insider Blog.

Student-hosted events give prospective applicants an opportunity to ask questions about the Chicago Booth culture, the Booth alumni network and student life in general in a relaxed setting. Because they are hosted in students' home cities, they also offer an important opportunity for prospective applicants who may not be able to travel to Chicago to visit campus themselves.

Events have been scheduled in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia and the Middle East. These informal student meet and greet events are free and open to all prospective applicants, though advance registration is required.
