Hi,

It would be great if you could give me some idea regarding my chances of getting accepted to the Masters in Financial Engg/Masters in Finance/Masters in Financial Economics programs.


My profile:

Undergrad major : Computer Science & Engg -69% [top 10% of the class] with 90% marks in math [highest in the class 1/360]. Univ. of Illinois UC states that 55% marks = 3.25 GPA

GMAT- 720 (Q49 V40)

IELTS - 7.5

Internship - an intership at ICICI bank

I do NOT have any work-ex other than that.

What are my chances of getting accepted to the above programs assuming my essays are great and LORs are good.

Your academic profile (GPA & GMAT) is strong which is an important indicator of competitiveness for a Master of Finance/Financial Eng/Fin Econ program. Much of the decision will come down to how well your application stacks up against the rest of the applicant pool, so use your essays and interview (if possible) to demonstrate a fit with the program and a solid rationale for the degree.
