After much browsing, signing up here on BTG, and purchasing some study guides, I set out to study GMAT... after 4 casual days of study, 4-5 hrs per day... then i felt like it's now or never and signed up for the earliest date on MBA.com... I proceeded to spend next 3 days going over 4 mock exams off Kaplan study guide cdrom, which gave me scare about my chances... all 4 mock exams gave me scores in the range of 530-560... not good..
then figured, what the heck, i'm not going to get any better by studying another month of useless math and english, haha..
i went ahead with the test as scheduled and of course i was surprised to see the results:
710 (93) Q: 45(77) V: 42(95) AWA 5.5
it goes without saying that i'm happy about the numbers... Kaplan gave me scare for no reason! haha.
looking back, perhaps 1 week schedule was a bit too rushed... I'd have preferred 10 days.. or 2 weeks...
Anyhow, Thanks beatthegmat! I could not have done it without the BTGMAT flash cards! it definitely made it easier to quickly grasp all the nonsensical bits without looking for them in thick books!
