Please evaluate my profile

Greetings!

I'd like your expertise to evaluate my chances at The University of Minnesota. Here are my stats:

-female
-660 GMAT score
-3.4 GPA, B.S. in Genetics from the University of Minnesota
-extra curricular activities in college, and extensive volunteer work since graduation that includes leadership position
-4 years work experience in commodities trading, diverse resume that includes positions in marketing and lab research
-looking to pursue career in medical business

I realize my GMAT score should be higher to be near the average, but I hope that submitting my application in the first round will help.

Dear laker,

Based on your post, I think you are a competitive applicant for the Carlson School at Minnesota. Your ultimate decision will come down to the strength of your overall application in relation to the rest of the applicant pool, but your profile is certainly competitive on the surface. If you feel you submitted a strong set of essays, good recommendations, and did well in your interview, then you should be in contention for a seat. While there are no guarantees in MBA admissions, stay positive--you don't know until you know.
