Need help..

Hello Friends,
Need some advice on the gmat. I just gave the exam....last week and got a 490.......

Quant scores (28) and Verbal (30)..per centile Quant(22)...Verbal (55)...
I plan to give it by the end of Jan....I am wondering if that would be enough time......I am a little more confident on my verbal....
during practice i generally get 10/15 right in CR and SC......but i have a weakness in maths....at the same time i want to increase my verbal score to 40......

so i am looking for some advice in this regards....will two months be enough....i wanna just cross the 600 threshold...so if ayone has a stragey that has worked for them.....please do share....

Improving quant involves lots of practice of questions which might appear on the real test. Solve OG questions and also other good math books.

thanks.....i did go thru the Manhattan series....but it was more of a rush....also do u have any suggestions for verbal....i am through with the OG 12 th and the verbal review, Kaplan 800 ......but i wanna improve it to a much higher level.....

For verbal, its important to do the OG again n again. Read the explanations well.

That's a good strategy you've in mind. Work on your weak areas so that you become good at them, and work on your strong areas so that you become invincible in those areas.As you said that you are weak in Maths, you may want to go through the MGMAT Maths books really well.
Since you're already done with OG12, you may want to go through OG10. I found the questions in OG10 to be pretty good and I don't think that there's a great overlap of questions between OG12 and OG10.
Also ensure that you maintain an error log and keep revising your concepts as you progress.

Two months are enough only if you plan properly and make the best use of the study time available to you. What exactly is you weakness in Math? Are you making frequent silly mistakes or do the questions seem tough to you? Based on that you will have to take a call on whether to practise more or build on your basics.

As for Verbal, go through the Manhattan GMAT guide and OG, and make sure you're actually analyzing each question(along with the right and wrong answer choices). As rishiraj says, keep an error log and also make a note of all the important concepts you see in each question.
