Hello. I have just started to study for GMAT last week, and I intend to do the test by march. Since I'm not a native english speaker, I still have a long way to go on Verbal, but I decided to start with math.

After studying geometry for 3 or 4 days (I used the Manhattan GMAT book), I could learn a lot and it seems very easier to me now. I got good results doing problem sets, so I believe geometry is ok (of course I will keep practicing).

My challenge now is to learn algebra, as it seems very difficult for me to understand many concepts. My question is: is the Manhattan GMAT book (equations, inequalities, VIC) enough? I have also bought the Kaplan GMAT premier 2011, and I do not intend to do any course, as I want to save some money for the applications. I could spend money in one more book if that was necessary. However, it is not easy to find GMAT books here in Brazil, and most of them would get to my home after 5 or 6 weeks.

Thanks a lot!

I googled "free online algebra courses" and got tons of responses. I have not personally checked them out, but several offer short videos addressing key concepts. That might be a great place to start. They are all in English, but you will need to be answering questions posed in English so that is probably the best approach.

Good luck
