MAPPING: No. of Incorrect questions vs Score

Hi, since every test company has its own algorithm and black box for calculating SCORE. I wanted to know based on Actual GMAT or GMAT Prep, the number of questions that are incorrect for the following scores:

(Max number of questions 37)
Quant : 48
49
50
51

(Max number of questions 41)
Verbal: 38
39
40
41
42
43
44


Lets say for example if someone gave GMAT Prep and got 720 (Q49, V39) so I want to know how many questions were incorrect in Q and V.

I personally think assessing this would help oneself to clearly target and practice close to actuality. Thanks!

Hey Akshay,

The number of questions answered correctly/incorrectly is only one factor that determines your score - because difficulty level is another highly significant factor you just can't establish such a table, and even if you could establish a range there isn't a ton of value in focusing on the number right/wrong because the ranges are quite large.

Thanks a lot Brian for the reply and sharing the link.

I do understand that there many intricacies involved in the algorithm in calculating the score. But still I have been observing a general range trend reading up in forums. Around 30+ questions right in verbal takes the score to 40+. Actually while posting my question I shouldn't have been that categorical, what I was looking for a broad range to just give me an idea despite algorithmic complexities of the CAT.
