All done my applications! I just needed to let someone know! HBS, Wharton, Yale, Kellogg, BU. In that order. Essays were 100 times more draining than the GMAT, in my opinion.

For those of you who are at the start or middle of your application process, just know that it feels really great when you hit that last "submit." I was more than happy to give BU my credit card information to finally be done.

Hopefully I will get a chance to feel better in December if I get an admit or two!

Congrats! I'm all done too (HBS, Stanford, Booth, Kellogg, Sloan) with everything in for round 1. GMAT prep took more hours of actual work (studying) in my opinion but the essays took more total hours from just thinking, stressing, revising, etc. Actually I find this time now to be just as painful. It's all interview preparation, waiting for interview invites, and just a constant feeling of nervousness. I'm completely done with Kellogg (including interviews) which is a great feeling. I can't wait for (hopefully) my first admit since that will take a big load off my back about potentially going through this process again next year!

Thanks! I'm flying out to Boston tomorrow for my HBS interview which is Thursday morning. The campus is pretty spectacular mostly due to the sheer size of the MBA campus. I'll probably try to get my Booth interview done in the next couple of weeks and then I'll be 3 out of 5 at that point. I'm still hoping for an interview invite for Stanford and I think I have a good shot at getting an invite for Sloan. Good luck with BU! How was your HBS interview?

I think it went well. Extremely conversational, very friendly. I think that was due to the interviewer, not my answers, though. I could tell, at the least, it did not go terribly, which is a good sign haha. I highly suggest going to the luncheon before or after your interview (depending on when it is). It was a great way to talk to other interviewees and AdCom and current students. Everyone echoed my sentiments about the interview being conversational and casual.

That's awesome! Well between HBS and Kellogg, maybe we'll up in class together! I'm definitely planning on going to the luncheon after the interview. My wife is going to be on campus with me. Is she allowed to attend the luncheon as well?

There were no wives or husbands, it was about 20 interviewees, a few AdCom, and about 5 current students. I would say she is allowed to for sure, but not sure if it is the best opportunity for that (everyone had pre-made nametags and stuff so it wasn't really welcoming for guests) - your call.

Yes, I hope that we at least have the opportunity to go to the same school. An acceptance from either Kellogg or HBS would be reason for celebration
