% of Correct Answers in Verbal OG 11 - Gurus plz Respond

Hi, I have the following % rate of Correct answers in Verbal part, Review questions from OG 11:

SC - 72% Correct
CR - 70% Correct

My question is where am I now? i.e. What scaled score am I likely to achieve with this % rate of Correct answers from OG11 during the real GMAT, provided I stop reading additional material for SC and CR and do practice questions only?

p.s. I have reviewed the Power-score CR bible and examined the BTG's free flash cards within relevant domains. I am also operational with formal English.

Can someone address this issue.... started my prep from mid aug, now if i evaluate myself as on today then,

1) Accuracy at SC - 75% - 80% in OG 10/11
2) Accuracy at CR - 65-70% in OG 10/11
3) Accuracy at RC - 60% in OG 10/11
4) Accuracy at Quant - 90% in OG 10/11

Now, i understnad that my weak areas are RC and CR, so i am working on the stratagies for the same, but i am very confused abt the other two.

What should i do in SC == should start reading funda again OR focus on practicing more questions, what should be an ideal accuracy for SC , if one is targetting 700+. My average time in SC reduced from 2+ min to somewhere 1.5 mins.

What should i do in Quant , because the quant especially PS in OG is very very easy... so i really don't understand whether to start working on some difficult problems or what ?

I dont know where to allocate my time to get best out of it ..practice or review of fundamentals...

As far as RC and CR are concerned.. can someone tell me what is the ideal accuracy in OG to reach to the level of 700+, i know its very broad question , but just a rough idea of accuracy that 700+ scorers carry for RC and CR.

Dear Hiren, posts on BTG are still but life is moving us onward. Now I have made some research and compared my results of CATs and I can conclude for average scaled scores in Verbal = RC, SC, and CR based on stats of correct answers from practice tests. You mentioned that you used to make 2 wrong answers out of 5 in the RC. Considering an actual test's stressful environment and that you would be forced to respond on CR, RC and SC at one take (remember, when we go through OG sections separately our mind is helped with the methodological approach i.e. we respond on similar type of questions better than on those of different types, we stay more focused) one may expect a chain of the following events in a row:

most probably 600-700 level questions
SC q. wrong - followed by RC q. wrong - RC q. correct - RC q. wrong - RC q. correct - RC q. correct
CR q. wrong - SC q. wrong

700+, 600-700, 500-600, below 500 level questions
SC q. wrong - CR q. wrong - CR q. wrong - RC q. wrong


Your best hit in Verbal would be the scaled score of 30, if you manage time and answer all questions at this time.

On the other hand, if you boost your SC and leave out CR and RC, you may risk seeing 700+ level questions for SC and not answer the following questions correctly; your Verbal scaled score could drop to 22-27. Surprisingly, but fact that if we create imbalance in certain area, our total score declines.

Try to balance RC and CR individually with SC.

thanks very much... i must start combining set of CR/RC/SC, am sure this combo must help to simulate the conditions as much as possible.
