Dear Poshi,

With the amount of experience you have, an executive MBA program is an option worth considering. If you are planning to stay in the IT space, continue to progress on your current path or perhaps move within your company, then the executive MBA makes sense. With executive programs, the quality of your professional experience and your rationale for an MBA are the most critical components to your evaluation. The other aspects like GMAT, GPA, recommendations and interview are also very important, but the admissions committee will be scrutinizing why you want an MBA, why it makes sense for you, and what your career goals are to determine if the executive MBA makes sense for you. I do think you have a chance at the Haas Executive program if you can show a strong command of verbal communication through your essays and interview. I would also suggest looking at other programs in your area, or cities that you can travel to easily in terms of time and expense, for additional options.

Good luck,
Lisa
