Hi Stacy-

first let me apologize for the length but i really want to put it all out there and not leave anything on the table. Thank you for your time!

GMAT- 710 92nd percentile (47Q 77%, 40V, 88%) AWA 5.0
GPA- 3.85 Rutgers (current college senior)
Major-Finance
white male

Honors- Deans list, Golden Key International Honour Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, on track to graduate summa cum laude

Study Abroad:
1)Financial Institutions of the European Union (Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland) Early summer of 08'
2)Literature and Art History of France (in Paris) Late summer of 08'

Travel: I traveled the world mostly by myself on school breaks interesting story is i got stuck in China after visiting Taiwan in July and with no phone or computer and not being able to speak Chinese i made it to Japan and back to America which spiked my interest in intercultural communication, I am looking to pursue research on this in the future.

Research: "Predicting Federal Revenue as a Percentage of GDP Through the Arbitrage Pricing Theory, A Model"

The Foundation for Educational Career Placement of NJ- President and Founder june 2010- present
-talked a few of my friends and family into helping me start a not-for-profit to help the youth in my area by taking kids with an interest in a specific business activity with no college or support in their future and placing them in interactive learning positions with small, local companies that will help them learn the skill they are most interested in.

Verizon Wireless - full time for 4 years while attending college.
Sales Representative- Sr. Retail Sales Representative 2006-2010
-led sales team in top 30 location in the US, store moved into top 20 location by the time i left.

Interesting thing about my impact on a much larger portion of the company:

What i did there : The company deteriorated greatly since i've been there in how they treat there employees and no one would actually say anything or do anything about it except talk amongst themselves about how unhappy they were. I used my notoriety within the company to do something about it. I spoke to every employee I could get my hands on to get their support for a union vote, i actually had about hundred names but i couldn't reach the rest of the company out of my region. what did i do? i got those hundred people to do the work for me and reach others, then i sent an email to everyone i could, that email i have been told is hanging on employees walls as of right now, they keep it in their cars and they keep it in their desks at work still to this day (in the NY metro area). Anyone who reads it from the company just resonates with it in a really remarkable way. I wrote it on a sunday and on that very day I got so many thank you calls and emails, after that i felt really great about it and the fact that i was able to transfer this message up the chain of command in such an impactful way was awesome. I am currently helping the Communications Workers of America in continuing this effort even tho i am no longer with the company, the rep i'm talking with almost got Verizon Wireless unionized in 2005 and she said this is one of the best chances they've ever had at doing it.

Also im not sure if i really want to put this in my app unless i was able to spin it very well but i did graduate in the lowest of my class in HS after getting expelled my senior year for 6 months (they took away the soda machines so stupid me tried to lead a walk-out to get them back because we liked soda, everyone went back inside except me and they said i was trying to "incite a riot" although i got back in and graduated we did get soda back although i don't think it was directly because of me) from there i changed my view got a 710 gmat a 3.85 gpa and honors as well as try to help my fellow co workers and students in better ways.

Dear kraynro,

You do not specify if you are planning to apply to enter directly from your undergraduate studies or if you plan to work first. There is a difference on the path you take as having quality post-bachelor's degree work experience, even for 1-2 years, can strengthen your candidacy. You have a strong academic foundation (GMAT + GPA), which is bolstered by working full-time though college demonstrating your maturity, time management and organizational skills. MBA admissions decisions are made holistically, so it will be critical you put together a quality package conveying a solid rationale for why an MBA, why now, and why X program in relation to your career goals. You do not need to disclose anything from high school in your applications unless you have a criminal record as a result of your expulsion. I doubt that is the case, so your high school "notoriety" should not be an issue.

Good luck,
Lisa
