Hi,

Thanks for your post. Based on the information you've shared, you seem to have a pretty solid profile. Your strong GMAT score combined with your work experience to date and your community service all make you a nice, well rounded bschool candidate.

There are plenty of schools for your to consider, but without knowing your post MBA goals, it's a bit difficult for me to make suggestions. I suggest that you decide on your goals and then look for schools that have solid programs/course offerings in that area. I also recommend looking at the career placement statistics for schools. Look to see if employers you are interested in working for recruit from your schools of interest.

Best,

Stacey

Thanks Stacey for the timely reply. I would be really glad if you could name a few schools cos I have no idea where to start now. I wish to pursue a career in the Equity Markets side in a reputed Investment Bank post MBA. I am predominantly looking at the US schools and was planning to apply for schools like Chicago Booth and Stanford. But their admission statistics worry me mainly for the fact I have a lesser than average work experience. Also please let me know how I could compensate for a lesser WE in my application.

Hi,

Thanks for the additional information. I suggest you look at Chicago, Wharton and Columbia. These are the top US schools for Finance. While they are indeed competitive, your age/experience really won't be an issue as long as you have sound post MBA goals. If you can convince the adcom you're at a good place in your career to obtain your MBA in order to achieve your goals, then you need not worry about your experience level.

Best,

Stacey
