My profile looks as follows:
UG: B. Engineering (Production) - 65 percentage from reputed college in Mumbai University, India
GMAT Score: 660 with Quant: 47; Verbal: 34; AWA: 5.5
Have Work experience of 4 years at present. I am currently (3.5 years) working for India's Engineering and Construction Giant company in Corporate Initiatives Department as Assistant Manager. The department functions as an incubation center for various new businesses that has higher growth potential. I have worked in 3 initiatives across various industries:
- Shipbuilding Initiative: Joined the company when this initiative was in its market entry stage. Worked in Market development function especially in estimation & costing domain. Along with this, I contributed towards preparing Strategy for liaisoning with the government along with the Shipbuilding Association of India (representative body to the government for the Shipbuilding Industry in India) and getting various approvals for the ships that were been constructed by the company.
- Strategy for various business units to avail export benefits available in India (viz., Special Economic Zones in India), which included preparing strategy to apply for the export benefits and liaisoning with the government for getting regulatory approvals.
- Currently, we are undertaking a new initiative in Solar Energy and I contributed for formulating Strategy to the Top management for entering Solar Business. I am currently contributing towards the business development activities like Costing, Vendor Development, etc.
My past work experience (6 months) was in a large consumer product company and I worked there as Graduate Trainee in the Materials Management department and was responsible for Supply chain management of Plastic raw materials for seating systems.
Also I had started a small fast food joint after my first stint as Graduate Trainee because of which I had left my first company. However had to wind up in 4 months time for personal reasons.
My progression in the current company is Executive (2 years)-> Assistant Manager (1.5 years). however my CTC has risen by over 3.5 times in the 3.5 years in the company.
My Post Grad Goals is to get into mid - level management (General Management) in the field of Renewable energy. However, entrepreneurship is my life goal and always look around for a business plan.
Have almost no Extra - curricular activities or Social work except for been a part of 1-2 blood donation camps as organizing team member.
I am looking for 1 year MBA course only and some shortlisted colleges are: Imperial College of London, Lancaster Univ, NUS, Nanyang, HKUST, Rotterdam, Cass, Manchester.
Kindly suggest any other colleges that would be appropriate to my profile.
