Suggested study schedule?

by firsttimegmat » Tue Jan 01, 2008 3:07 pm
I have taken the gmat prep test to understand where I stand to find which areas I need to focus on. As are result, I need help in all of them. I was planning on taking the exam Feb 28th but I just cancelled my appoinment (yeah, ate the cost). Reason being due to my very busy work schedule (medical sales- attend surgery early mornings into early evening), I know I will not be able to have the amount of time needed at this point to achieve my goal score of 700.

I know I can dedicate about 1.5 - 2 hours every week night and about 5-10 on the weekends. I was wondering if anyone out there has had a similar situation and what type of schedule they applied (ex. Monday - Verbal 20 questions timed). Will probably take in June '08.

Since I typically have to get up at 5am just to get my day started, waking up even earlier probably isn't an option.

Thanks to everyone in advance.
Michael

It's going to be critical for you to take some time early on to set up a strong study strategy, one that emphasizes identifying your weaknesses (seems like you've got your work cut out for you), analyzing, and improving upon them. There are great examples on how you can do this here:

Consistency is going to be key--you are a busy person, but studying every day will be the way to improve. Quality, not quantity.

Good luck!
