(a^2 + b^2)/ (b^2 + c^2) = a^2/b^2, if
(A) a + b = b + c
(B) a - b = b - c
(C) a/c = c/b
(D) a/b = b/c
(E) a^2 = b c

(a^2 + b^2)/ (b^2 + c^2) = a^2/b^2

(ab)^2 + b^4 = (ab)^2 + (ac)2

b^4 = (ac)2
b^2 = ac;

answer: D

(a^2 + b^2)/ (b^2 + c^2) = a^2/b^2 implies (a^2)(b^2) + b^4 = (a^2)(b^2) + (a^2)(c^2)
So, b^4 = (a^2)(c^2) or b^2 = ac
Looking at the given options, we get the
correct answer as (D).
