You will have to get in touch with someone who is actually into Bitotech field and/or someone who has/had studied MBA in USA specializing in Biotech industry.

Dear sunilwritesgmat,

Gaining admission into an MBA program without any professional work experience is tough. Not only do you need a solid rationale for an MBA, but you need a solid rationale for why you want to go directly into an MBA program. Since you are focused on the the biotech industry, I would suggest doing some research there on career paths and points of entry to determine where you want to start. While conducting your research, you should also be looking for and asking (when speaking with industry folks) about which MBA programs have strong ties to the biotech industry. Generally speaking, schools geographically near a cluster of companies in a particular industry tend to have ties, so you might also research some programs near these biotech hubs.

Good luck,
Lisa

Thanks a lot.One last question. Will work experience in any other industry like technical support jobs in IT work? because getting a internship or a job for a fresher biotechnology jobs are scarce in India.

If you can get work experience that is either industry related or functionally related to what you want to do in biotech, that would be best. You want to be able to show that the work experience you gain prior to business school makes sense for your overall path towards your long-term career goals. Otherwise, you want to get the best experience possible, meaning a job where you have an opportunity to contribute, gain leadership experience and progress.

Lisa
