If F is the face of the given geometrical figure, E is the edge and V is the vertex, then,
Number of the edges E = (V+F)-2.
Number of the faces F = 2+E-V.
Number of the vertices V= 2+E-F.

Face is the flat surface of the closed geometrical figure.
Edge is the line where two sides meet each other.
Vertex is a corner point where two line segment of the figure meet.
