Hello,

I am an MBA aspirant from India with following details:
-Workex - 4 years(By the time I join the session)
-GMAT - 710 (V39, Q49, AWA-5)
-Undergrad - Agricultural Engineering with GPA 8.07/10 (Bronze Medal)
-Working with Supply Chain management Deptt of a multinational firm which manufactures tractors
-Learnt Indian Classical dance for 8years (holds diploma), currently learning Latin American form of dancing
-Organised Pan India Technical and Cultural festival at the college with participation from 38 Engineering colleges
-Aspiring for MBA in Operations management
-Looking at B-schools in US with scholarship support for women

Hi,

Thanks for your post. You certainly seem to have an interesting profile. Your job in supply chain isn't as common for business school applicants as those from other industries such as consulting and banking. This will certainly help you stand out in the applicant pool.

Your academics seem quite good and on par with some of the top 15 programs in the US. Your interest in dance is fantastic. I strongly encourage you to find a way to weave the experience into an essay for each application.

In regard to scholarships, most business schools do provide scholarships to some female candidates. Each schools qualifications are individual, but most do indeed offer some type of financial assistance for those in minority groups such as female candidates. I strongly encourage you to look at programs such as Darden and Cornell.
