Hi,

The sentence here describes the conducive atmosphere available in the city NJ which resulted in something. I chose the answer D but the
OA = C
.

Can someone throw light on the SC ....pls

D is absolutely wrong because of parallelism error. "Without natural predators and no hunting allowed.........." is not logically modifying "New Jersey".
and C takes care of parallelism. so C is correct.

With no natural predators and expanses of green suburban neighborhoods that allow no hunting, wildlife officials estimate the New Jersey deer population to have grown to exceed 175,000.

(A)With no natural predators and expanses of green suburban neighborhoods that allow no hunting, wildlife officials estimate the New Jersey deer population to have

(B)With no natural predators and with expanses of green suburban neighborhoods that do not allow hunting, wildlife officials' estimate of the deer population in New Jersey has

(C)With no natural predators and with expanses of green suburban neighborhoods where there is no hunting, the deer population in New Jersey, wildlife officials estimate, has

(D)Without natural predators and no hunting allowed in expanses of green suburban neighborhoods, New Jersey has a deer population that wildlife officials estimate to have

(E)Without natural predators and with expanses of green suburban neighborhoods where there is no hunting, wildlife officials in New Jersey estimate a deer population that has

The issues:

1. With X, NOUN/Pronoun

--> Here, "with X" modifies the NOUN/Pronoun after comma.

Example:

With a good GMAT score, Akash has got admission at Yale.

--> Who has the GMAT score? Akash? ---> It is correct.

Again,

With a good GMAT score, Yale has admitted Akash.

--> Who has the GMAT score? Akash. It is not Yale.

--> This kills A, B, D, and E.

Answer C is remains.

IMO it is C.

AD is ruled out first because, we have population and so it has to be 'has' and not 'have'

<First half of the sentence>, this defines the deer population and is a case of dangling modifier and in B and E, it refers to wildlife officials. For other reasons also B and E can be discarded and I found few other errors in these sentences.

So my choice is C.
