yet another blow to anthropocentricity came with the discovery of dark matter, not only is man not the centre of the universe physically ( as Copernicus showed) or biologically (as Darwin showed); it now appears that us and all that one see are not even made of the predominant variety of matter in the universe.

I will also go with B... but it appears to me as a very poorly framed question... no offence...

I think its poorly framed. Even the non-underlined part of the sentence can be corrected ;)

no offense taken... the question wasnt mine... :).. the source is IMS... its a local coaching institute... they definitely do not conform to gmat questions...
