I have my 2 year work exp. in TFI(teach for india).it is also a social service. In this i have to teach student of rural area for 2 years full time. It is a govt. organisation and tie up with top univ. like stanford gsb, harvard business school, princeton ,ISB.
it is same as teach for america.

have strong recommendations from TFI alum.

Looking at my profile, what are the chances that i can get through an MBA prgm of any b-school from the top 15-20 b-schools?
Is there any chance for stanford, harvard.beacause my organisation has tie-up with these univ.or i have to retake GMAT.

Dear simran001,

I don't think a GMAT retake is necessary for you to be competitive for an MBA program. You have an above average score as well as a strong GPA. The key for you, as with any applicant, will be making your compelling case for seat in the class by presenting a solid rationale for an MBA, realistic career goals, and a good match with the school. You have to also distinguish yourself from the applicant pool, and your TFI experience should help in that endeavor. Be sure to have a mix of schools as the top 20 are highly selective, and even though you have a shot, there are no guarantees.

Good luck,
Lisa
