where is PowerPrep?? and other questions...

by ddd » Wed Dec 26, 2007 8:53 am
Hi,
I am going to appear for GMAT in mid jan. So i have 20 more days to prepare.
I have following practice test.
1) 4-5 kalpan
2) 6 mgmat
3) 4 pr test
4) 2 gmatprep
I tried 1-2 tests from kalpan, mgmat and pr test and mgmat and kalpan are very good. I scored around 670-680( 46Q, 35V).I made silly mistake in maths.
But i got 50-51 in Q on gmatprep, so my goal is 50Q-36V (i hope it's near 700)
I heard about powerprep on this site. I tried to search the previous post to find more information. But i cound not find the source. It would be great if any one can tell where to find it.
I think i need more practice on DS-basic maths. I have complete pr with dvd, kalpan math book, kalpan premier, kalpan 800, OG 11, and mgmat sent correction. I am planning to buy OG Verbal and OG Q. Is it worth to buy mgmat DS in order to practice 700+ difficulty DS questions?? kalpan 800 has good difficult math questions, but very few.
I am not very good at verbal (specially RC) but math is a strong point, so i want to get maximum there. I am trying my best for SC as I can learn grammer in short duration. Is there any other advice to follow in last 20 days preparation?
For CAT practice, I practice 2 CAT per week, so that i can see some improvement. When i appeared for 1st CAT before 15 days, range was 630. Now it's improved to 670-680. Should i hope for improvement upto 700??..:-))
I know it's quite an unorganized post....may be with many mistakes....but you can understand the pressure...:-) and reply soon.

Let me try to answer a few of your questions.

PowerPrep can be found here: https://del.icio.us/beatthegmat (look under the practice material section)

MGMAT DS might be a good purchase for you if you're specifically looking for tough DS practice problems. To improve your SC in a short period, I HIGHLY recommend MGMAT SC. To see my book recommendations, see this link: https://www.beatthegmat.com/books.html

I'm not quite sure what you're asking regarding your practice tests, but try not to read into the scores that much. Instead, focus on examining your errors and analyzing why you got them wrong thoroughly. A preparation strategy based on identifying your weaknesses and analyzing them should really help to boost your score.

Hope this helps, good luck!
