Thank you Amy

Hi Amy,

I post a profile evaluation here a long time ago, in August, at the start of my business-school search. It was then when you told me to consider schools like HBS and Wharton. As a college senior I had been aiming much lower, but now I've been accepted at the only R1 school I applied to (Wharton).

So thanks a lot for setting my sights much higher, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates your good work here!

Cheers,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Congratulations!!! That is great news! As a Wharton alum, I'm always happy to talk about how wonderful the program is, so please let me know if you have any questions as you make your decisions.

Best,

Amy

Wharton M&E Club

Hi Amy,

Thank you for offering to help. I noticed that you used to head the Wharton Media and Entertainment club. As I am being sponsored by a media (newspapers and magazines) company in Singapore, I was thinking of joining this club. What would you say are its main goals, and do you think it would benefit someone like me, who will want to keep up to date with media trends (rather than trying to look for a media-related job)?

Hi Jelt,

Now as you are preparing to enter school is a great time to start networking with current students. I would suggest getting in touch with the students who currently run the club for the most recent information.

When I was there we had industry speakers, events and social/networking opportunities. There were about 200 members of the club, while only about 20 people from my class ultimately entered the industry for a career. Many people are just interested in learning about entertainment and attending company visits, industry speakers, etc.

Good luck!
