Which one is correct and why ?

Just around the corner IS / Are a bakery and a supermarket

are is correct
and makes the two subjects a comound sub and for compound sub plural verb is needed

i thought, "just around the corner" a subject phrase.

its a case of inverse sub and one need to flip it
in this it wud be
a bakery and a supermarket are just around the corner

If the place functions as a bakery as well as a supermarket,it must be
Just arnd the corner is a bakery and supermarket
if the 2 arev seperate
then
Just arnd the corner are a bakery and supermarket
