I just got back from my test and I wanted to share my experience with everyone.
I started studying about 3 months ago, I took the PR course and my first practice score was a 510, my average came to about 580, my highest was a 660)
I took the GMAT for the first time about a month ago, my score was a 610 (46 quant, 28 verbal).
I plan on applying to Northwestern and University of Chicago, I have very strong undergrad GPA and solid work experience.
I wanted to thank everyone that post here. I found this forum right before my first test and wasn't able to utilize it. Since then I have read this forum as much as my GMAT books, the tips here are great.
To increase my verbal I used the Manhattan Sentence Correction Book (EVERYONE should use this) and the GMAT Verbal review (just for a group of new questions).
And don't forget to relax, that makes a world of difference.
Thank you again, and good luck.
