I was able to narrow down the answers to B and E because I knew they needed to be parallel "to sell....." , "to standardize...." and "to predict..."

But I wasn't sure whether it was "take advantage" or "taking advantage". Any ideas??

"taking advantage of off-season demand" acts as an adverbial modifier, modifying the verb "sell all year around". Adverbial modifiers usually start with the ing form. Hence (B)

IMO ans should be B

clearly te phrase "taking advantage of off-season demand" is a modifier which describes the process of selling the fish. It is not one of the main actions

there are four verb phrases in the sentence

to sell the shellfish year-round
taking advantage of off-season demand
standardize its sizes and colors
to predict sales volume in advance

now the phrase "taking advantage of off-season demand" is a verb phrase but it does not represent an action on the shellfish instead it modifies the verb phrase "sell...." (so it is an adverbial phrase) hence E is incorrect, it makes this phrase parallel with the other verb phrases i.e portrays it as a main action.

we need an infinitive to acheive parallesim of the verb phrase "standardize...." with the other verb phrases, both B & E provide this but B also correctly introduces the adverbial modifier
