Hi,
I want to pursue a career in IT strategy consulting after my MBA. I have 10 years of work experience in IT. I started off in software development and evolved into Business Analysis and Project Management. Currently, I am working as a Business Analyst for my client's Project Management Office. I am originally from India but have been living in the US since 2005, which gives me about 5 years of international experience. My client is a multinational corporation and has given me the opportunity to work with teams based in Asia, Europe and South America.
I want to work for a leading consulting company (read BCG, McKinsey, Deloitte..etc) in their IT Strategy group after my MBA and my long term goal is to become the Chief Information Officer of a global company.
Profile :
GMAT : 720 (Q:49, V:40),
Exp : 10 years (graduated in 2001)
Under Grad : First Class in Electronics & Instr Engineering ( Eventhough I graduated with a first class, there are a few subjects where my scores were pathetic. All of these, except one were not quantitative courses)
These are the US schools I have in mind : MIT, Haas, Kellogg, Anderson and Tepper. These schools have courses in Technology Management and that's what attracted me.
Non- US school : LBS.
Let me know your thoughts about my choices and also let me know if I have a genuine chance.
