Question is: Is x - 1/16 > 5/8 or Is x > 11/16?

(1) 4x < 3 or x < 3/4 or x < 12/16, but this does not imply whether x > 11/16 or not. It may or may not be greater than 11/16.
So, (1) is NOT SUFFICIENT.

(2) (1/3) of 2 < x or x > 2/3 or x > 32/48. Accordingly we need to answer whether x > 33/48.
Again x > 32/48 does not imply whether x > 11/16 or not. It may or may not be greater than 11/16.
So, (2) is NOT SUFFICIENT.

Combining (1) and (2), 2/3 < x < 3/4 or 32/48 < x < 36/48. This implies x may or may not be greater than 11/16. So, combining also does not answer the question.
