three sentences

hi guys/ experts,

1.Pollution is harmful, prevent it.

Q:can pronoun it refer to pollution.? is this sentence correct.

i agree these sentences may not be within GMAT context... but i just wanna know the role of "sooner or latter" (in deleted sentence)..is it modifier or what.??

.... above sentence is short, but , i hope, not outside the scope of GMAT.( a pronoun rule tested.)

Please cite the source of these sentences else please refrain yourself from putting such controversial sentences.

statement Q1 is not mine. It is headline of a newspaper's article. My fellow passenger was reading the page. (if you like, i can provide you the link also)

BTW i have edited my post, and my intention was not to create any controversy, but just curiosity about statement.

As Ron said "in SC in general, if you try to formulate any rule that says "word X is always correct, and word Y is always incorrect", independently of context, then, 99.99% of the time, your rule will be invalid.", and thus it is important that we discuss issues within GMAT context.

A sentence may be regarded as grammatically correct by whichever authority, but GMAT could easily refute it without consideration.

So if you have a question, cite the question within GMAT context, or perhaps consider a grammar forum instead.
