A BAD 350...

by hbazyan » Fri Dec 14, 2007 7:34 am
Hey guys;

I know you are all those people who score 600+, I want to become one of you...
I sat for my first GMAT yesturday, and was shocked to see a 350 score, I studied for a month before taking it. Scored 520 in Kaplan's preptest, 440, 480 in two tests I bought from 800score.com. I really dont know what happened, I screwed up in the verbal section badly. I know I didn't prepare for it well, cause really I had no idea how. I thought practice would be the solution, but obviously there is a bigger problem. I know i am not a good test taker, but still this is not an option now i need to get a score above 520+.
Please I need help, and advice.... references, tools, tips, study guides. I am really depressed. Send me your thoughts and what you think I should do, and how to start again, I am planning to take the next test first week of February...

Thanks;

HBAZYAN

hi,
Do read my blog at:

https://www.beatthegmat.com/gmat-720-95- ... t7227.html

I started out just as you have, and it took me 6 months to build up my stamina and write the exam. You probably are writing the exam too fast. I think you need to put practice for at least 3-4 months to clean up the concepts adn get your pace going.

Again dont feel depressed - you just need to spend more time and effort, and I am very sure, your scores will definitely lift up!

TAke care,
