Interview invite

by deepred » Fri Apr 16, 2010 8:05 pm
Hello,
i have a stupid stupid question. i have applied for Tepper in the third round (March8th deadline). The decision date is May 3rd. Been eagerly checking the online site and my email for any status updates. After about a month of eagerly waiting, i realized that i've been blindly deleting emails from my spam folder in my gmail. More often than not, emails other than spam or junk do land up in that folder. To think that, i could have missed my interview invite cos of that is driving me nuts. I dont know if i can send an email to the school inquiring if they sent out an invite. It might give out a wrong impression. so pleeeeeeeeease do advise me on this. thanks.

I would get in touch with the school. You can put across your situation in the most euphemistic terms you can muster - "There was a mishap with my email account" or "I may have inadvertently deleted an email from Tepper in my spam folder". Both of these statements are truthful, yet don't make you sound too careless.

Even if they tell you they never sent out an invite to you, at least you will sleep peacefully.

Hope that helps.
