There's no reason to retake GMAT for the sake of AWA, so I don't think you should worry about it. Write good essays where they count, on the school applications.

I have heard AWA scores doesn't matter at all. Schools don't even look at AWA scores. Besides your score shows its not a very good reflections of your writing skills. So don't worry much of it.
