Four dollar amounts, w, x, y, and z, were invested in a business. Which amount was the greatest?

(1) y < z < x.

(2) x was 25 percent of the total of the four investments.

(1) is insufficient by itself as there is no info about w.

(2) is insufficient by itself as there is no info about w, z, or y.

Combined you know that x is 25 percent while each of y and z are less than 25 percent. Thus, w must be greater than 25 percent, and is the largest.
