Hi,

Thanks for your post. In order to evaluate your profile, it would help if you could explain why it is you are seeking an MBA. Could you share your short and long term post MBA goals with me?

Regards,

Stacey

Thanks for your response. I am currently working as an analyst/programmer but my ultimate goal is to manage an IT department for a large company. Short term goals are to enter the IT project management field to gain a background in the various IT disciplines as well as obtain extensive knowledge in the leading IT products.

An MBA would allow me to reach my ultimate goal by giving me the skill set to manage a large IT firm. The schools above were chosen because their MBA programs have concentrations in IT

Hi,

Thanks for the additional information about your goals. I think you can certainly be competitive for admission at the schools you've listed. You have a nice mix of programs (in terms of ranking), now I think you need to do a little more research to determine the schools that are the best "fit" for you. I suggest not only looking at those known for top IT programs (such as Cornell and Vanderbilt), but also narrowing down your list by location and class size.

Best,

Stacey
