Hi...

I am from India and presently, working with Fortune 500 Automobile company in sales & marketing. I am planning to apply in US B schools but able to do in Round 2 for Fall 2011.

I am planning to take GMAT exam on Oct 19th 2010. My queries are as follows

1.) Is timing of GMAT exam is right for Round 2

2.) Will I have sufficient time for preparations of my application

3.) Will I be eligible for scholarships if aplly in Round 2

4.) Will get enoughtime enough for VISA procedures

5.) Is probability of getting into good institute reduced in Round 2 comparative with Round 1.

Plz reply urgently with your experiences so that can decide my final plan for gmat.

Hello!

1) Yes, your timing is fine for Round 2. In fact, if you don't like your score, you can study during the rest of October, November, and take it in late December again.

2) Yes, you should have sufficient time to prepare your essays if you take the GMAT by October 19--depending on how many schools you are applying to. If you can handle studying for your GMAT while writing at least first drafts of your essays, I would recommend it.

3) Yes you will. I don't recommend Round 3 if you are applying for scholarships.

4) I don't know the answer to that one. I would think so. Otherwise, the schools would go out of their way to make sure international students knew to apply in Round 1.

Good luck!
