Yesterday,I appeared for GMAT test and got a poor score of 550. :(

Quants: 45
Verbal : 20 ( even one can get higher score than that by random selection)

Even while attempting I never felt that I will get such a poor score.

It was shocked :0

I had never imagined such a poor score.

I attempted 6 tests of MGMAT and never got less than 620 ( MGMAT is more tough than actual GMAT)

On my last test MGMAT MOCK I got 670.

I am feeling morally down and not able to decide weather I shall retake GMAT. I dont know what went wrong there.

I have an exact similar story [ almost same verbal same quant].
Although people say that MgMat tests are best [ after official tests ] , but my story was also same.
Anyway I am preparing again.

One thing I realized after the tests that my concepts were not perfect.
Most of the time, I was stuck between 2 choices during the mock/actual tests
and I paid for it during my actual test day.

So you analyze yourself,
And if you think that your concepts are missing then definitely , you should prepare again.

In my case,
my concepts were not clear because I was not using the good books/source materiel.
Now I am working on that.

best of luck

Dear Ankur and Paes,

Sorry to both of you guys, but never mind. I took GMAT twice and both times I failed. I felt so ashamed of myself that I left idea of retaking GMAT again. However, past is past, trying again 3rd time. Do as much of practice as you can. Male sure that you must get 49 or more in Quant.

Ankur and Paes,

I am also in a similar boat where I want to improve on my verbal score. I have enrolled into e-gmat and it so far seems to be helping me out. They offer a free trial and some btg members have given good feedback of their offering. I am still to find out my score improvement (first mock test in 1 wk) but I definitely have a much better grip on SC.
